Evaluation Question 4

How did you use digital technology in your production work?

For my final evaluation question, I am going to focus on the different forms of technology I used throughout the production of my short film, poster and radio trailer. The different forms of technology used includes software's such as Photoshop, GarageBand, Final Cut Pro and Prezi, hardware i.e. camera and websites such as Blogger and YouTube. I answered this question on a Prezi presentation, which can be seen below:

Evaluation Question 3

What have you learnt from audience feedback?

Once we finished our short film, we premiered it in front of the rest of our class. They had a number of questions to answer about how our film made them feel and what they noticed/expected/enjoyed about our final production. We collected our classmates answers and decided to record ourselves answering question 3 of the evaluation; responding to audience feedback. The video can be seen embedded from YouTube below:

Evaluation Question 2

Evaluation Question 2- How effective is the combination of your ancillary production tasks with the main production? For this question I basically had to analyse the effectiveness of my ancillary tasks (radio trailer and film poster) in comparison to my main production (short film). I answered this question on Prezi, which can be seen embedded below:

Behind the Scenes: Day 4

For our final day of filming we finally got to film some of the most crucial scenes that we needed; the grim reaper scenes. This was a huge part of our plot and was satisfying to complete. The behind the scenes footage for day 4 can be seen below:

Behind the Scenes: Day 3

After gaining consent from the owners the previous week, our third day of filming consisted of filming another difficult scene; the shop/armed robbery scene. We needed to bring in one of our friends to help us as we needed to successfully capture the shot reverse shot. The behind the scenes footage from day 3 can be seen below:

Behind the Scenes: Day 2

For our second day of filming we filmed one of the hardest scenes to shoot. which was filmed inside of a travelling car. Also, we visited another local newsagents (not on the same location as the rest of the film) and gained consent that allowed us to film a scene within their shop the following week. The behind the scenes footage from day 2 can be seen below:

Behind the Scenes: Day 1

To show our filming progress, I will update my blog every time we film with some behind the scenes footage of our filming crew on set. For day 1 of filming we had a number of bloopers, as expected (bloopers will be featured within the behind the scenes footage). For our first day of filming we planned out and got familiar with the location and the route the character would be taking. The behind the scenes footage from day 1 filming can be seen below:

Practice Shooting

Before starting to film we decided to have a practice session within college; we used an editing suite to replicate a shop and we acted out and filmed the shop scene. This was helpful as it aided us in how we are going to create our short film; in the acting and directing sense. Once we got the footage we needed I uploaded the footage onto the computer and imported all the clips onto Final Cut Pro. I then played around for a bit and experimented with the software, getting more used to it. After a while I got the hang of it and edited my practise scene. This sequence can be seen below:
